The AWD Ford Transit Van is a great addition to our other chassis options. With the AWD Transit, you can feel safe taking your van places you might not with the standard rear wheel drive chassis.
Ford introduced the Intelligent AWD to the Transit chassis for 2020. The Intelligent AWD system is similar to the one in the 2020 Ford Escape where it automatically sends power to the right wheels at the right time. If your rear wheels are slipping, it will send more power to your front wheels to get traction. It can even deliver 100% power to the front wheels, something most other AWD systems cannot. The Intelligent AWD is unlike your normal four-wheel-drive system in that it controls what the powertrain is doing for you. No need to lock the differential or shift into low or high modes. It knows how, when and where to deliever the power at all times. Which is great! You can enjoy your van experience so much more!
